It is time to New Year Parade. There is the celebration of Water Splashing Festival in South East Asia Countries, Thai, Laos, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Yunnan China including Myanmar. It means that people clean and purify the dirty from old year with water and welcome to New Year as ritual. They pour water each other as an expression of prosperity, happiness, and desire the good luck in coming year. They do the good things to be blessed during the festival.
The festival is hold from 13th to 15th April according to their Annual Calender. This is the famous and special festival organizing among the different countries, nationalities and traditions.
Thingyan comes from ThinKanTa, means Transferring or Changing. There are different names for Water Splashing Festival. For instance, Thingyan in Myanmar, Songkran in Thailand, Chol Chhnam Thmei in Cambodia, Boun Pi Mai in Laos. Neverless they have different names, most of activities are almost same. They go to temple and worship, hear the monk's lecture, fast. People take fragrant water to make Buddha Statues clean called Bathing the Buddha and offer flowers. After that, they release the being animals like crabs, fishes, etc.
